CHAIN OF CUSTODY
A Ticino mountain lineage from Felix Kautz / Owls Production, active since 1978. This pure alpine strain was developed over decades in the high-altitude conditions of Italian-speaking Switzerland. Its compact indica structure, altitude resistance, and characteristic purple pigmentation — driven by anthocyanin concentration — make it a scientifically distinct and visually striking genetic asset. The Purpurea Ticinensis represents one of the few surviving authentic alpine cannabis strains predating the hybridisation era.

A gift from a veteran Swiss breeder of the previous generation, active in the scene of the early 2000s. Origin: clone-only from SwissSeeds. Genetic profile: mostly indica alpine with Vorderorient (Near East) heritage. Indoor flowering in 60–66 days with exceptional cold resistance — a trait rarely found in indica-dominant varieties. APEX DNA holds one of the few remaining clones of this variety, which has never been commercially distributed in seed form. STS autofertilisation is the priority program for S1 feminisation.
